Service Description

Aikyam is an all encompassing practice that brings together Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin depending on the needs of each individual. Through the practice of postures, the student learns to be rooted in presence, develops enhanced perception and activates its subtle energies. The body gets optimised, and with a robust nervous system the students is ready for higher yoga practices that direct the mind into stillness and open the door to experience expanded consciousness. Mysore is a way of teaching where students evolve independently based on their qualities of body and mind. Very advanced students share the space with absolute beginners. Beginners require more attention, while advanced students occasional but very unique directed attention. In a time slot of two hours advanced students come any time usually from the start of the session, while beginners can drop in later as their practice is shorter. Please note this Mysore isn't Ashtanga Vinyasa. Some students may follow the Ashtanga Vinyasa series, while others will have a Hatha based practice. Aikyam Yoga isn't about the pursuit of postures. Here you will eventually be ready to learn higher yoga practices such as Kriyas and other that will get you to tap inwardly, feel your energy, enhance your body, and find inner stillness both in mind and body, regardless of physical movement.
