Tired of Overthinking

Tired of Overthinking

Years ago I was doing my PhD in search of a cure for a global disease, while looking after two young children on my own. In my obsession, ambition and excitement with the project, all I wanted was more time to study, to research, to test, to experiment, to do more. I went totally NUTS 🤯 • Overlooking all other aspects of live, I started creating suffering for me and everyone around me 😭 • I did not notice this was happening until it became a giant snowball 😳 • I was so overwhelmed, I did not even have 5 minutes for anything. Starting yoga or meditation seemed impossible. They were another ‘load’ in my to-do list 😖 • The ONLY thing that HELPED me at that moment was starting a series of VERY SIMPLE practices I could integrate in my life. These I still do today!!! Very simple, yet SUPER POWERFUL ⚡️✨🔥 • Practicing these, opened a little window through which I could start seeing differently 👀and prepared me for more structured practices such as yoga and meditation 🧘🏼‍♂️ • Each practice can be read in 10 seconds. Try one, see how you go, add or replace for another one. Ideally these will become an spontaneous part of your every day living 🤩 • I have put them together in an e-BOOK 📖 which will be available very shortly 😊🤩. If you are interested DM me and I will send it through to you for FREE when ready. • #overwhelmed #overthinking #freefromsuffering #mindfulness #yoga #awareness #freedom #consciousness #consciousnesscreatesreality #suffering #sufferinginsilence #anxiety #anxietyrelief #awakening #spiritualawakening

TheNow-Wix

The present moment is a pure and untainted possibility to experience life to its highest potential. Yeah, we gotta be present, right? this concept keeps going on around. But... what does it truly mean? Being present is much more than simply paying attention. To experience the present as it is, one must be free from the past and from the future. We continuously bring our memories of past experiences and our expectations of how we wish things to be or not to be, into every moment. This impedes us to be fully free to experience the "now" with full openness, free from judgment, and completely opened to possibility, allowing the present to be completely NEW. "New", is its nature. This very moment is always new, pristine, pure, and untainted. We have the power to change every single situation we encounter when we tap into this understanding. Some of the "baggage" we carry can be cleared more easily as you become aware of how you are filtering your experiences and start dropping judgments, meanings, fears, and expectations in a conscious way. Another type of "baggage" is more subconscious and requires certain practices to clear it out. That is when yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices come into play, as they work at a subtle level, and you don't need to know what happened. If you really want to experience your life free from the tendencies that limit you, you gotta put on the effort, and dedicate some consistent time to the most important thing you can do for yourself and for everyone around you... work on yourself, on your freedom!!! The more aware you are the freer you become, the better relationships you'll have, the less judgment you'll feel, and the more harmony you will experience in your life. This naturally leads to a state of bliss. #thepresentmoment #thereisonlythismoment #thenow #iam #yoga #realyoga #hathayoga #kryiayoga #ashtangayoga #kryia #hatha #ashtanga #rajayoga #raja #freedom #liberation #consciousness #awakening #wellbeinfg #mindfulness #meditation #ultimatewellbeing #holistic

TwoTypesOfDifficulties

One must remain unattached, present, and understand that situations are temporary, that the body is impermanent (unless you have fully mastered energy), and that asana is not the purpose, just an instrument. Strength and flexibility easily come back with practice. Likewise with other aspects of your sadhana. There are external and internal difficulties. External can be adi-bhautik (lack of resources) and adi-daivik (created by nature), both can be overcome and provide insight. During holidays, I could not adhere to my regular asana practice due to external conditions. I just meditated and even this proved difficult (particular practices). But this is temporary. Seeing the effects of decreased practice is a blessing, as it reveals the benefits it brings. You never really retrograde, it is just an illusion based on our need to measure everything. A lot is always happening that is unseen. Challenges are always there to help you. I kept practicing self-inquiry as it can be practiced anywhere, a powerful practice in which no asana is required: asana practice is enjoyable, powerful, and helps, but make sure you are not becoming a slave of it. PS: strong wind, full stomach, decreased practice, are not the best combination for handstands!! 🤣😂  #kundalini #yoga #ashtangi #selfenquiry #energy #consciousness #ramanamaharshi #omswami #impermanence #peepsoftheuniverse #love #awakening One of my favorite books, from where I learned about the hurdles of sadhana and more #kundalinianuntoldstory
